OPM band Orange & Lemons reportedly walked out on stage after Kapamilya actress Francine Diaz allegedly cut in during their supposed performance at an event in Occidental Mindoro.
In the videos making the rounds online, the Filipino band was already on stage when Diaz entered, greeted the audience, and cued the music for her performance. Behind her, it can be noticed that the band was dismayed and was having a discussion with some of the staff.
Diaz was then forced to do an acapella of her performance because no one was starting the music for her. The vocalist of the Orange & Lemons seemingly threw a tantrum and signaled his band members to just leave the stage.
In a separate video, the band’s lead guitarist, Clementine Castro, said that they have been waiting for a while to do their performance, so no one should “cut the line.”
“Gusto ko lang manghingi ng paumanhin pero kailangan ko sabihin ‘to para sa mga artist kasi dapat kanina pa kaming 11 dito so sana naman walang sumisingit. Respeto lang ba,” he expressed.

In the comment section of one of the videos uploaded on Facebook, one staff member from the sound system department disclosed that in their line-up, Diaz was scheduled last to perform, so they do not know who they should follow for the music, considering both artists were on stage.
“Hindi po namin alam kung sino po ang susundin namin, nasa program po lahat, na last po si maam francine, pero siningit po ng manager ni maam francine na siya unahin kahit hindi po nila nasabihan ang orange and lemon,” he wrote.
The netizens expressed their reactions and argued that Diaz should not be blamed for the mishap, but it’s the organizers who deserve to be called out for mishandling the line-up.
“Walang kasalanan dito si Francine. Invite sya, dumating, umakyat sa stage, and nagperform. Yung organizers ang palpak. Dapat alam nila yung flow ng show. Nakaka insulto din naman kasi na nagreready na yung banda tumugtog tapos biglang may sasalang pa palang iba,” wrote one fan.

After the event, Diaz shared on her Instagram story one of the gifts she received from fans last night and thanked them for staying even though her performance came out late.
“Respect goes both ways,” she wrote in part of her caption.
