Donny Pangilinan tried to pursue Kathryn Bernardo—Ogie Diaz

Ogie Diaz cited an insider claiming that Donny Pangilinan courted Kathryn Bernardo, but that it was put off due to an undisclosed reason.
Diaz initially opted not to name Pangilinan and just referred to him as a “young actor,” as per the comedian-showbiz insider’s YouTube vlog on Tuesday, April 16.
“How true—patanong na lang kasi baka naman i-deny tayo—na minsan pala ay pinormahan nitong young actor si Kathryn? As in niligawan,” Diaz said, adding that it happened after the actress’ breakup with actor Daniel Padilla.
(How true—let’s just deliver this as a question because they might deny it—that a young actor briefly courted Kathryn?)
“Dati na-viral pa ‘yon, na inaalok pa si Kathryn ng soft drinks kasi nakainom si Kathryn, [para] pangpababa ng tama or something,” he added.
(A video of [the guy] offering soft drinks to Kathryn to sober her up even became viral before.)
The incident Diaz was talking about happened in the January wedding of Robi Domingo, where Pangilinan was spotted offering Bernardo a drink during the reception. At the time, Pangilinan dismissed it as a mere friendly act.
“‘Yun ‘yung nakarating lang sa akin. Ngayon, na kay Donny na ‘yan kung gusto niyang aminin na minsan pinormahan or niligawan niya si Kathryn, kaya lang naudlot,” Diaz continued.
(This was just what the source told me. It’s still up to Donny if he would confirm that he indeed courted Kathryn, but that he eventually put it off.)
“‘Yung rason kung bakit naudlot, hindi ko alam. Baka naman nai-stop na lang talaga kasi wala rin namang magandang patutunguhan,” he added.
(I don’t know the reason why he didn’t push through. Maybe the courtship ended because he knew it would not end up with a favorable outcome.)
Pangilinan and Bernardo have yet to confirm or deny these claims as of this writing.
Prior to this, Diaz also cited a source from Bernardo’s camp who apparently confirmed that actors Alden Richards and Jericho Rosales have also been courting the actress.
