Cassy Legaspi says Darren Espanto is her ‘best friend’ as well

Cassy Legaspi didn’t hesitate to shed light on the real score between her and Darren Espanto, as she pointed out they are simply just best friends.
In a brief interview with GMA’s Unang Balita aired Friday (April 12), Legaspi stressed that she and Espanto are nothing more than friends.
“It’s so hard to explain what we have pero best friends talaga kami (but we’re best friends),” she said.
The actress-host clarified that her Instagram Stories made last week were mere posts of Russ’ song “Ain’t Nobody Takin’ My Baby” and Olivia Rodrigo’s song “Favorite Crime” as she loves to share her favorite songs, per report.
Legaspi said her mother, Carmina Villaroel, is fond of sharing quotes and bible verses on her social media platforms too.
Espanto and Legaspi have long been hounded with rumors that they are dating after they were seen attending the recent editions of the ABS-CBN Ball and GMA Gala together. They also traveled to Batangas and Japan as a pair.
In an earlier interview with TV Patrol, the “It’s Showtime” host said Legaspi is his “best friend” and their platonic relationship is “hard to explain” to outsiders who “won’t understand.”
On the April 10 episode of the noontime show “It’s Showtime,” Espanto was teased to Kyline Alcantara, who was romantically involved with Cassy’s twin, Mavy. Despite their alleged romance that made headlines, Kyline and Mavy have yet to confirm nor deny the speculation.
