Jake Cuenca among cast of 'What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim' PH adaptation

Jake Cuenca was revealed to be among the cast of “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” local adaptation, joining Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino as lead characters in the romantic comedy TV series.

Cuenca will portray the role of Morpheus, the brother of Avelino’s character, as per an announcement on Dreamscape Entertainment and Viu Philippines’ Instagram page on Wednesday, March 6.

The announcement comes with a short clip that shows Cuenca in a denim button-up shirt, sitting in front of his office table while reading a book.

Sharing the video through his Instagram Stories, Cuenca expressed his gratitude to the production company, the streaming service and its executive for giving him the opportunity to star in the Korean series’ Philippine adaptation.

The TV series is set to premiere on the streaming platform on March 14. Chiu will be starring as the titular Secretary Kim, while Avelino will portray the role of the serious and “perfect boss.”

The character names of Chiu and Avelino, however, as well as further details about the series have yet to be revealed as of this writing.

The original hit Korean series was released in 2018, with actors Park Seo-joon and Park Min-young as the lead stars.
