Kelvin Miranda issued an apology for chewing gum during a television appearance after netizens called him out for the “unnecessary” action.

On his Instagram Story, the actor explained that he didn’t intend to offend anyone by chewing gum during an appearance on “It’s Showtime,” saying it was his way of dealing with being nervous on stage.

The “Dead Kids” actor promised to no longer do it again, as he stressed that it became his “unwarranted coping mechanism.”

Naging coping mechanism ko siya which is not good.

During his appearance at the ABS-CBN’s variety noontime show with Beauty Gonzales on Feb. 27, the actor was captured tirelessly chewing gum, making some viewers uncomfortable and calling him out on X (formerly Twitter).

Some of the remarks thrown against him were that he was acting “pa-cool,” or that he might be dealing with bad breath.
