Mariel Padilla thanks ‘truest friend’ Toni Gonzaga amid Senate IV drip mess
Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla expressed her gratitude to Toni Gonzaga for being her “truest friend” after receiving a bouquet of white blooms from her former “Pinoy Big Brother” co-host following the backlash she received for getting an IV therapy inside the office of her husband Sen. Robin Padilla.
Padilla took to her Instagram Story on Sunday, Feb. 26 to thank Gonzaga for her thoughtfulness while sharing photos of the bouquet of white tulips and a card attached to it.
The card contained a short message from Gonzaga: “Dear Ma, I love you. Hope you’re spending Sunday with the people who mean the most to you.”
The “M.O.M.S: Mhies on a Mission” host then thanked Gonzaga for being one of her “sweetest, most thoughtful truest friend.”
Padilla recently uploaded a video of herself while having her vitamin C drip inside her husband’s Senate office, with its logo prominently fixed in the background while she was advertising the treatment. She later on deleted the video when she was roundly criticized for it on social media, that even the Senate ethics committee chairperson Sen. Nancy Binay vowed to look into the incident saying it was a matter that involved the “conduct, integrity and reputation” of the senate as an institution.
