Liza Soberano disclosed that she will be dividing her time between the United States and Asia after her breakthrough performance in “Lisa Frankenstein,” although the “majority” of her acting career will be based in Hollywood.

Soberano opened up about her career plans in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, saying her “general plan” is to stay in the US for at “least a good year” where the majority of her acting career will be focused on.

“The general plan right now is to stay in the States for at least a good year and get a feel for how things are going for me and my career. But I will be traveling back and forth to Asia just because I have a lot of brand-related commitments that I need to attend to,” she was quoted as saying.

The actress then noted that “all” of her endorsement and modeling duties will be coming from Asia.

“So the majority of my acting career will be focused on the States, and all of my modeling and endorsements will come from Asia,” she said.

Soberano garnered praise from critics and filmmakers, including American producer and director Joe Russo, for her performance as Taffy in her first Hollywood movie. This was “unbelievable” for the actress as she didn’t “expect much” after the film came out in theaters.

“I feel very flattered… I didn’t expect this many people to take a liking to my portrayal of Taffy in ‘Lisa Frankenstein,’” she said. “I didn’t expect much when the movie came out. So I’m just really happy and flattered, and I’m very inspired to act again soon.”

Earlier this month, Soberano returned to the Philippines for an endorsement gig at the launch of a cosmetic brand. The event coincided with the premiere night of her longtime boyfriend Enrique Gil’s new film “I Am Not Big Bird.”

Aside from the Fil-Am actress, the Zelda Williams-helmed film also starred Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse.
