‘Another one on the way’: Kristine Hermosa, Oyo Sotto await 6th child

Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto are anticipating “another one on the way.”
On Instagram, the couple announced Hermosa’s pregnancy and posted an ultrasound image of their baby. They also expressed gratitude to the Lord as, “He’s got our backs all the time.”
“I may at times feel discouraged but I always have a strong sense of security that only God gives – I know He’s got our backs all the time. To be honest, I was hopeful but never really expected He would bless us with children… like… lots of them and another one on the way,” Hermosa wrote on Monday.

According to Hermosa, their sixth child is another reminder of God’s “peace and joy.” She disclosed that she still gets butterflies whenever she sees “double lines on [her] pregnancy test.”
“Kahit pa na ang dami na nila, parang laging 1st time. Iba’t ibang level ng overwhelming emotions each stage of every pregnancy. Ibang level din when you can already see and hear the heartbeat,” she said. “Iba lang talaga ang peace and joy ‘pag galing kay God.”

The actress likewise admitted that she thought their fifth child would be their last, but while they were proven wrong, their sixth baby nonetheless shows “God’s limitless power.”
“Akala ko noon, last na si Isaac. Ngayon, hindi ko na talaga alam kay God (I thought that Isaac was the last. Now, I don’t know what God’s plans are),” she said. “I praise the Lord for whatever plan He has for me and my super growing family. After all, He is my creator, my Lord, and Savior, my provider, my peace and joy, my eternal hope & ultimately my heavenly Father.”
Hermosa and Sotto received congratulatory messages from the actress’ sister Kathleen, Maine Mendoza, Kaye Abad, Mariel Rodriguez, Baron Geisler, Sugar Mercado, and Rodjun Cruz.

The couple, who wed in January 2011, welcomed their fifth child in August 2021.
Hermosa and Sotto’s four other children are named Kiel, Dre, Kaleb, and Vin.
