Daniel Padilla eyes travel to Vietnam after renewing contract with ABS-CBN
Daniel Padilla confessed that he wants to return to Vietnam as he enjoyed his last visit “very much,” when asked about his plans after renewing his contract with ABS-CBN’s Star Magic.
On the sidelines of his contract signing via ABS-CBN News, Padilla was asked by entertainment journalist MJ Felipe about his personal goals apart from his upcoming projects.
“My business, I’m so excited. Ang dami kong gagawin sa [showbiz] and sa labas ng industriya. Gusto kong mag-travel nang mag-travel. Parang nagkaroon ako ng renewal of traveling na ‘yan,” he said.
(My business is one of them, I’m so excited. I have a lot of things to do in showbiz and outside the industry. I want to travel a lot. I had a renewed interest in traveling.)
The actor-singer then admitted that he wanted to go back to Vietnam when prodded about the country he wanted to visit.

“Kasi ‘yung best friend ko nan’dun sa Vietnam, nasa Saigon siya. Ngayon, nasa Saigon na siya. Baka pumunta na ako doon,” he said. (Because my best friend is in Saigon, Vietnam. My best friend is in Saigon. I might visit them there.)
The actor-singer, who wanted to “go back to himself,” was accused of being romantically involved with a Vietnamese woman named Minh Phuong or Emma in January 2024.
However, she denied being in a relationship with Padilla, saying they only exchanged a “few words” with each other during the actor’s visit to a bar owned by her brother.
“I know you guys love and appreciate your idol. I also feel the same about the artists I support, but please be civilized and polite. Please be a cultured person. You guys have threatened my life and my job, sent messages, and spammed my family and friends,” she wrote on Instagram.
‘That’s life’
During the interview, Padilla was then asked to expound on receiving “positive and negative” messages in his contract renewal. But like his speech, he didn’t disclose whom he was referring to and instead thanked his fans.
“That’s life and that’s balance. Hindi naman pwedeng lahat ng bagay, galit. It’s a perfect balance, gan’un talaga. Kung ano man nararamdaman [ng mga tao] sa’kin, hindi ko sila mapipigilan,” he said.
(That’s life and that’s balance. You can’t be angry in all things. It’s a perfect balance, and life is like that. Whatever people feel towards me, I can’t stop them from feeling as such.)
Padilla also noted that he doesn’t find the need to explain himself whenever he’s interacting with his fans, saying he truly knows them.
“Pero ‘yung mga nandyan para sa’kin (But to those who are there for me), I appreciate them very much,” he said. “I don’t have to explain myself to them because they know me.”
Padilla renewed his contract with the ABS-CBN talent agency on Feb. 12, where he expressed his gratitude to his ex-girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo.
