Valentine’s Day 2024: Xyriel Manabat, Pepe Herrera, others share plans

Valentine’s Day is a special day not only for people in happy relationships but also for others who find comfort within themselves and their loved ones. Xyriel Manabat, Pepe Herrera, Daniela Stranner, and Nikko Natividad are among those who will enjoy the 14th of the month in their own ways.
In separate interviews with INQUIRER.net, Manabat and Herrera shared they will spend Valentine’s Day with their respective partners. Stranner, meanwhile, will take some time off her busy schedule to be with her mom in the province. On the other hand, Natividad will be busy with promotions of his film “I Am Not Big Bird” in the company of his friends.

Manabat will enjoy Valentine’s Day with her non-showbiz boyfriend Nathaniel Avila Toledo, although she said she opts to have an “intimate and happy” moment with her partner.
“Anything basta intimate and happy. Ayokong i-require siyang magbigay ng [bagay na] dapat bongga, surprise, or engrande,” she said when asked how they will celebrate the day of hearts. “Basta masaya kami kahit Netflix, DVD. Walang problema. Basta happy kami.”
(Anything, as long as it’s intimate and happy. I don’t want to require him to do grand gestures or surprises. We’re happy even if we’ll binge-watch on Netflix or DVDs. There’s no problem. As long as we’re happy.)

Herrera will take a break from the limelight to enjoy Valentine’s Day with his non-showbiz wife Sarah Mallari, saying they might enjoy a movie date and have dinner together.
“Simple lang. Siguro kami ng Misis ko — ang Misis ko kasi mahalaga sa’min na dapat magkasama kami — quality time, kahit makapagkwentuhan lang kaming dalawa. Nakikita ko na posibleng mag-movie date kami tapos kumain somewhere na maganda ang ambiance tapos magkwentuhan kaming dalawa,” he said.

Stranner, who’s currently filming her upcoming show “Pamilya Sagrado,” will go back to her province in Pampanga for the meantime to be with her mother.
“I’m driving back to Pampanga and we’re gonna spend the day with my Mom kasi walang ka-date ang Mom ko (because my Mom doesn’t have a date),” she said.

Natividad wants to make the most out of Valentine’s Day by going on an “I Am Not Big Bird” date with his friends. The upcoming film, where he’s one of the leads, also stars Enrique Gil and Red Ollero.
“Siyempre, manonood ako ng ‘I Am Not Big Bird’ kasama ang mga friends ko kasi humble ako pero ipagyayabang ko ito sa friends ko. Gusto kong maramdaman ‘yung magiging reaksyon ng friends ko [sa movie],” he said.
(Of course, I’ll watch “I Am Not Big Bird” with my friends because while I’m usually humble, I want to brag about this film to my friends. I want to feel how they’ll react to the movie.)
The actor and Hashtags member is married to his non-showbiz wife Cielo Eusebio.
