Julia Barretto says Gerald Anderson supported her as a calendar girl

Julia Barretto shared that her boyfriend, actor Gerald Anderson, was supportive of her posing sexy as the 2024 calendar girl of an alcoholic beverage brand.
Sitting down on “Magandang Buhay” on Tuesday, Feb. 6, the actress was asked what Anderson’s initial reaction was when she was announced as the alcoholic beverage company’s calendar girl.
“You know he’s always supportive as long as comfortable ako sa ginagawa ko. As long as feeling niya masaya naman ako. I think ang pinaka request niya lang is ‘yung sana tastefully, gracefully pa rin siya gagawin. The same request from my family, my siblings, and si Mommy,” she shared.
(He’s always been supportive, as long as I’m comfortable with what I’m doing and as long as I’m happy. I think his only request was that [the calendar] should be done with taste and grace, which was the same request I got from my family.)
In November 2023, Barretto joined the Tanduay family as the new calendar girl on the company’s celebration of its 170th anniversary.
“We wanted a strong, confident, and hardworking personality to represent the brand. Julia has weathered many challenges in her career and has emerged happy and successful,” the brand had said in a statement.
During the launch, the “Expensive Candy” actress said that agreeing to pose for the brand made her “braver” in expressing herself.
“It was something I was nervous about but also very excited because it was an honor to be chosen to represent the brand for 2024. Excited but nervous because it means having to be a lot braver in expressing myself,” she said.
Barretto and Anderson started dating in 2021.
