Angel Locsin took time off from her self-imposed break from the entertainment scene to express condolences and gratitude to the late Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal by sending flowers to his wake.
Locsin and her husband, film producer Neil Arce, were among the many celebrities who sent funeral flowers to Endrinal’s wake in Taguig City, as seen in an Instagram post on ABS-CBN AdProm Head Eric John Salut’s Instagram page.
“Maraming salamat po sa pagmamahal at pakikiramay sa mga naulila ni Sir Deo Endrinal (Thank you to those who expressed their love and sympathy to Sir Deo Endrinal,” his caption read.
The family of Kathryn Bernardo, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, and Bianca Manalo also sent flowers to the late ABS-CBN executive.
Locsin starred as the lead in the 2019 action drama “The General’s Daughter” which was produced by Dreamscape under Endrinal’s helm. Also part of the cast were Paulo Avelino, Tirso Cruz III, Albert Martinez, Eula Valdez, and Janice de Belen.
The actress previously thanked Endrinal for trusting in her abilities in a 2019 mediacon for the teleserye, saying he trusted her even if she’s not sure whether she’s open to working again.
“Gusto ko lang pong magpasalamat sa Dreamscape for trusting me especially kay Sir Deo. Noong time na ‘yun, hindi naman ako dapat magtatrabaho pa. Pero noong nakausap ko si Sir Deo, pinagkatiwalaan niya ako,” she was quoted as saying.
(I want to thank Dreamscape for trusting me, especially Sir Deo, At the time, I wasn’t supposed to get back to work. But when I talked to Sir Deo, he trusted me.)
Endrinal’s death was confirmed by his son PJ in a statement on Feb. 2. He was 60 years old. As of this writing, his urn was brought to ABS-CBN’s headquarters where a mass for him will be held, per entertainment journalist MJ Felipe.
