Amid breakup speculations between Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque, close friends of the actress who are also part of her creative team shared a remark on social media regarding a certain “manipulative sad boi” that intrigued the netizens.
On Threads, Alonzo’s road manager, Nina Ferrer, shared a graphic text that defines a “manipulative sad boi,” a term that has been popularized on social media, alluding to men being a “red flag.”
“Manipulative sad boi. Any guy who’ll try to convince someone that they’re the victim of the situation. They’ll make you believe that you’re in the wrong and that you’re the one who should be feeling guilty. Toying with your mind, they’re seriously just bad news,” read the image.
Alonzo’s makeup artist, Ting Duque, reposted Ferrer’s post and wrote, “They should be stopped.” The interaction between the two sparked interest among netizens, especially at a time when the actress and Roque were reportedly on the rocks.

The couple came to the center of rumor mills after Alonzo was seen allegedly not wearing her engagement ring, while the couple haven’t been spotted interacting on social media, which fans say is very unusual for the couple who tend to do it a lot in the past.
The split rumors between the two intensified after entertainment insider and talent manager Ogie Diaz claimed that the couple have been separated since the last week of January, stressing that Roque is still trying to win the Kapuso actress back.
This was further given credence when talk show host Boy Abunda received confirmation from unnamed sources of the split and Roque’s efforts.
Recently, the actor shared a snapshot of a Bible he’s reading via his Instagram stories, highlighting the verse Romans 5: 3 to 4, a statement professing one’s faith and perseverance in the midst of suffering.
Alonzo recently talked to the press and revealed that she and Roque haven’t made any wedding plans yet, noting that they are both busy with their work schedules, which contradicts Roque’s statement in his last interview before the breakup rumors, talking openly about the wedding preparations.
