Bea Alonzo, Dominic Roque hounded by breakup rumors

The status of Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque’s relationship is going through a rough patch following their engagement, according to show biz insider and talent manager Ogie Diaz.
On his vlog, which was uploaded on YouTube on Saturday, Feb. 3, Diaz cited multiple sources speaking on condition of anonymity to confirm that Alonzo and Roque are not talking at the moment, amid breakup rumors.
“Ang alam ko, may plano si Dominic [sa kasal]. Kasi dati, naikwento niya sa’kin na excited siya at wala pa sa 100 ‘yung kanilang bisita. Ang natatandaan ko pa, ang principal sponsors na kukunin nila ay successful ang married life para mapayuhan sila nang maayos. Si Dominic, na-Viber ko at na-seen. Pero walang sagot,” Diaz said.
(What I can recall is that Dominic has plans for their wedding. Because I remember him telling me that he was excited and their guests were less than 100. I also recalled him saying that they would choose principal sponsors with successful married lives so they could advise them well. So I sent Dominic a message on Viber and was seen. But he didn’t respond.)
Diaz also noted that it could be that Roque, too, has no idea how to answer his question.
Alonzo and Roque sparked breakup rumors after the actress was spotted not wearing her engagement ring on some occasions, such as when she attended the birthday of the daughter of Pinoy Big Brother winner Beatrice Saw, and when she admitted that she and Roque have no concrete wedding plans yet during a brand launch.
Since they announced their engagement in July 2023, Alonzo and Roque have kept details of their wedding preparations private.

Wedding jitters, prenup issues?
Citing another source, Diaz shared that the couple’s relationship still hangs in a balance while noting that Alonzo might be coming down with wedding jitters.
“‘Yung isa, sabi sa’kin tuloy naman ang kasal pero baka may wedding jitters lang si Bea,” he said. “Sabi naman ng isa, siguro ayaw pang i-discuss ni Bea kasi gustong may mystery hanggang sa maikasal sila. Sabi rin niya hindi muna sila magkikita para ma-miss nila ang isa’t isa bago ang kasal kasi sabi, September pa raw ang kasal… sa Madrid, Spain. Hindi ko lang alam kung napalitan ‘yun kasi ‘yun ang nakarating sa’kin.”
(Another source told me their wedding is still on, and Bea might be coming with the wedding jitters. A different source said that Bea doesn’t want to talk about it because she wants the topic to remain a mystery until they get married. They also said they didn’t want to meet so they would miss each other before the wedding. The wedding will take place in September in Madrid, Spain. I’m not sure if the location was changed because that’s what I heard.)
Among other claims, Diaz also quoted different sources who claimed that Alonzo and Roque had already split up, while another said they signed a prenup before deciding to get married.
“Sabi ng isa kong source wala na sila. Hiwalay na sila… Kaya inaabala na lang ni Bea ang kanilang sarili (Another source told me they broke up. They’re done. This is why Bea opted to focus on herself,” he added, while co-host Mama Loi Villarama took notice of Alonzo’ recent Instagram posts and the recent string of events happening between them.
“So between January 20 and 22, wala na sila siguro. Sabi kasi ng source ko, bago pa tayo mag-Korea, hiwalay na sila (They broke up by then. My source noted that already broke up before we went to Korea),” said Diaz, referring to his vlog team’s South Korean vacation last Jan. 26.
Roque still wooing Alonzo
“Sabi ng ating source, sinusuyo pa rin ni Dominic Roque si Bea Alonzo para sila’y magkaayos… pwedeng nagka-misunderstanding or miscom,” he said. “‘Yan lang ang mga nakalap natin at wala pang kumpirmasyon. Ang kumpirmasyon ay hihintayin natin dahil kina Dominic at Bea manggagaling ‘yung kumpirmasyon or denial sa mga nilabas natin dito.”
(My source claimed that Dominic Roque is trying to win over Bea Alonzo so they would patch up their relationship. They might’ve gone through a misunderstanding or miscommunication. Those are the speculations that I’ve compiled from our sources which haven’t been confirmed. We will wait for the confirmation or denial of these claims from Dominic and Bea themselves.)

Neither Alonzo nor Roque have clarified the status of their relationship, as of this writing.
The actress previously shared their wedding will happen sometime in 2024, although details are yet to be disclosed to the public.
In the meantime, Alonzo and Roque appeared absent in the other’s social media posts, including family events — the birthday of Roque’s mother which he posted on January 16, and the Alonzos’ family gathering just last week.
