Dominic Roque, who has yet to comment on the breakup speculations hounding his relationship with actress Bea Alonzo, professed his faith as he reflected on persevering in the midst of suffering.

The actor started his day on Monday, Feb. 5, by sharing the Bible verse Romans 5: 3 to 4 via his Instagram Stories.

“We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope,” it read.

Along with the verse was a short story that embodies the value of “persevering and rejoicing in suffering.”

“Jesus, may I find hope and joy in You as You provide what I need to persevere in this life,” a prayer included in the post stated.

Rumors of Roque and Alonzo’s supposed breakup surfaced after netizens noticed that the actress was not wearing her engagement ring in the recent occasions she attended.

Fans also pointed out that the couple have not been sharing photos of them together nor interacting on social media.

Multiple showbiz insiders, as per comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz, made different claims on the pair’s relationship status such as that Alonzo might be having wedding jitters; that Alonzo wanted to keep their wedding details a mystery; and that the pair have indeed separated but that Roque is still wooing the actress to patch up their relationship.

Meanwhile, Alonzo earlier said that she and Roque have no concrete wedding plans yet due to their busy schedules.
