The death of Dreamscape Entertainment head Roldeo “Deo” Endrinal, fondly known as Sir Deo in entertainment circles, brought an outpour of tributes from celebrities and his colleagues who worked with him throughout his career.

Endrinal’s death was confirmed by his son PJ and the ABS-CBN content production unit on Saturday, Feb. 3, where he was known to be a “visionary” leader.

In the comments of PJ’s statement on Instagram, Deo was honored by Maris Racal, Alexa Ilacad, Gabbi Garcia, Maja Salvador, Andrea Brillantes, Donny Pangilinan, Denise Laurel, Jodi Sta. Maria, and Jane Oineza.

Other celebrities such as Maymay Entrata, Xyriel Manabat, Darren Espanto, Janine Gutierrez, Charlie Dizon, Loisa Andalio, Miles Ocampo, and Jessy Mendiola showed their love to the ABS-CBN executive.

Content creators Bella Racelis, voice talent Inka Magnaye, and host Ai Dela Cruz paid respect to Deo as well.

Chie Filomeno, on her X (formerly Twitter) page and Instagram Stories, assured Endrinal that she would take care of his son.

“Sir Deo you changed so many lives, helped so many people. I would know because he is one of the reasons why I am where I am right now,” she said. “Pinag katiwalaan niya ako sa mga project na meron ang (He trusted me with projects in) Dreamscape. Sir Deo, your legacy will live on forever. We will look after Peej, don’t worry po.”

Bela Padilla spoke about how Endrinal touched her life on X, saying she’s thankful to know him as a boss and “fun-loving friend.”

“So sad to hear about sir Deo’s passing. He has touched so so many lives… I am one of many. I’m very blessed that I got to know him not just as a boss but as a fun-loving friend throughout the years…rest in peace, Sir,” she wrote.

Angeline Quinto recalled her favorite memory with Endrinal on her Instagram Stories, as she referred to him as her “second father.”

Giver of opportunities

ABS-CBN talent agency Star Magic expressed its gratitude to Endrinal for giving “many opportunities” to its artists and his contributions to the industry.

“Star Magic would like to express its deepest sympathies and condolences to PJ and the rest of the family of Dreamscape Entertainment Head, our beloved Sir Deo Endrinal,” it said on X. “We are eternally grateful for the many opportunities that he has given our artists and for his countless contributions to the industry, that has made many people laugh, cry, love, and smile.”

The network’s content production unit Star Creatives said the executive “will always be remembered” for his legacy.

“You will always be remembered and loved, Sir Deo. Thank you for everything,” its post read.

The official X page of “ASAP Natin ‘To,” where Endrinal served as one of the writers, thanked the latter for the “love, talent, and inspiration.”

“Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of one of the Brilliant Pioneers of the longest-running Sunday musical variety show, ASAP-our Beloved Kapamilya, Sir Deo Endrinal. Thank you for the love, the talent, and the inspiration. You will forever remain in our hearts, Sir Deo. We love you,” it wrote.

Meanwhile, showbiz writer and talent manager Ogie Diaz thanked Endrinal for trusting him to be part of the 1992 show “Showbiz Lingo” and other teleseryes on X. Diaz was one of the segment hosts of the now-defunct talk show.

“Deo Endrinal, salamat sa lahat! Sinimulan mo ang pagtitiwala sa akin nung 1992 sa “Showbiz Lingo” hanggang sunud-sunod na ang mga teleseryeng kabilang ako. Salamat, Deo! Mahal kita,” he wrote.

ABS-CBN scriptwriter Noreen Capili looked back at Endrinal’s illustrious life by listing some of his most notable shows and crediting the latter as the one behind her moniker “love guru” behind the scenes.

“Yung pagbansag sa akin ni Kris Aquino na ‘Love Guru’ actually came from sir Deo. During my first guesting in ‘KrisTV,’ Kris and Sir Deo were exchanging text messages. Doon nabanggit ni Sir yung love guru so Kris used it sa mga IG posts niya… He gave value and recognition to the writers/creators,” she said.

“He gave me my first teleserye. He was so generous, so benevolent. Everything I learned about storytelling, I learned from him,” she added.

On the other hand, “ASAP Natin ‘To” writer Darla Sauler celebrated Endrinal’s “life and legacy” while noting him as one of the “brilliant pioneers” of the Sunday noontime show.

“Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of one of the brilliant pioneers of the longest-running Sunday musical variety show, ASAP. Our Beloved Kapamilya, Sir Deo Endrinal. Thank you for the love and the inspiration. You will forever remain in our hearts, Sir Deo. We love you,” she said.

Film and TV production company Regal Entertainment showed their respect to the ABS-CBN executive on X.

“Rest in peace, Sir Deo Endrinal. Your Regal Family will always be thankful for your contribution to the industry. We are praying for your soul. Thank you and farewell,” its post read.

Endrinal’s cause of death was not mentioned in either his son’s or ABS-CBN’s posts. Details about his funeral are yet to be disclosed, as of this writing.
