Kathryn Bernardo addresses her viral night jog photo with Jericho Rosales

Kathryn Bernardo said that her good friend John Manalo was the one who invited her to join him and his uncle Jericho Rosales in their aerobic exercise after their photos doing a night jog went viral on social media.
Sitting down with MJ Felipe for TV Patrol on Friday, Feb. 2, the Kapamilya actress stressed that the moment where she was spotted with Rosales on Jan. 29 was just merely a workout activity, as her friend, Manalo, was the one who had asked her to join them.
“Si John Manalo, is a good good friend of mine. Ano pa Goin’ Bulilit days so nagkita kami non kasi magwowork out talaga ako that day tapos namention niya mag jojogging sabi niya, ‘Gusto mo sumama?’ Then I said, ‘Okay. Why not?’ kesa mag-work out ako mag isa, so nag jogging kami. It was mga 11 late na, and then we were just having fun and working out, ayun lang,” she explained.
Bernardo and Rosales’ night-jog photos trended online and sparked dating rumors and project collaborations, as it was not the first time that the two were spotted together, although they were always in the company of their other friends.
The “Esperanza” actor has always been vocal about wanting to work with Asia’s box-office superstar. Just recently, Rosales congratulated Bernardo for her contract renewal with ABS-CBN, expressing, “I hope that we can work on something someday. We’ll work on that, promise.”
Bernardo echoed the actor’s sentiments and said, “He’s such a nice guy. Sobrang bait niya. Ayaw mo ba makatrabaho ‘yung ganon. So let’s just see.”
Bernardo and Rosales are both single following their separation from their long-term partners, Daniel Padilla and Kim Jones, respectively.
As the “A Very Good Girl” actress renewed her contract with her home network after coming from a long-term onscreen partnership with former boyfriend Padilla, Bernardo is now open to embarking on a new journey by herself.
“Siguro ‘yung tamang word may konting adjustments talaga but then it’s the good kind of change. Ngayon mo lang ‘to nafeel na it’s so empowering as a woman. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na alam ko na ang hawak ko lang ngayon ‘yung buhay ko, ‘yung sarili ko. Kung saan ko gusto pumunta, ano gusto ko gawin,” she explained.
The Kapamilya actress said that the top three people she wants to work with are “Star for All Seasons” Vilma Santos, Piolo Pascual and Rosales.
“I’m really open now to work with anybody. I’m open now to work with different lending men and women na alam ko na may matututunan pa ako,” she said.
