Claudine Barretto not willing to work with Angelu de Leon
Claudine Barretto publicly expressed her disinterest in working with fellow actress Angelu de Leon, as the former declared that she only looked forward to having a reunion project with Gladys Reyes and Judy Ann Santos.
Barretto said this during a party hosted by Reyes and her family, as seen in a TikTok video shared by one Nem Garcia on Sunday, Jan. 28.
The party was held in celebration of Reyes and Christopher Roxas’ 20th wedding anniversary, as well as their son Christophe Sommereux’s 18th birthday.
“I-manifest na natin yung pelikula natin with Juday,” Barretto told Reyes, as the two of them were standing on the stage. (Let’s manifest for our movie with Juday to happen.)
Reyes asked in turn, “Game ka ba do’n? Kung matutuloy ‘yung reunion project natin with Juday and Angelu?” (Are you willing to be part of a reunion project with Juday and Angelu?)

Reyes, while chuckling nervously, seemingly tried to prevent Barretto from saying anything further by holding the microphone away from her.
“Wala ka nang masabi no?” Barretto told her, who was apparently changing the topic. “Uy, nagsasabi lang ako ng totoo. Tayong tatlo lang ‘yon.”
(You’re speechless. I’m just telling the truth. Only the three of us [should make a reunion project].)

Barretto concluded her remarks about De Leon after Reyes called her other guests, actors Wowie de Guzman and Vhong Navarro, to join them on stage.
De Leon was reportedly present at the event as well, but she had already left the party when Barretto spoke on the stage.
In an exclusive interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal, Barretto explained that her ill-feelings toward De Leon stemmed from the latter giving her two cents on the former’s quarrel with her sisters.
Barretto claimed that this happened twice during press conferences that she was not part of.
De Leon, who worked together with Barretto in the 1990s variety show “Ang TV,” has yet to publicly comment on the matter as of this writing.
