Claudine Barretto gets real on sagging skin, tells naysayers: ‘Di ako perfect’

Claudine Barretto responded to comments about her sagging skin and clarified that she didn’t undergo surgery to lose weight.
The actress showed a video of herself wearing a dress exposing her arms while thanking a jewelry brand via her Instagram page on Sunday, Jan. 21.
Netizens were then quick to point out in the comments section the sagging skin on Barretto’s inner arms. Some, including one @chyleravery, also assumed that the actress had a “poor liposuction procedure” hence the sagging skin.

“Just wanted to remind everyone that I lost 84 lbs. ‘Di po ako [nagpa-liposuction],” Barretto chimed in the comments exchange of netizens. “Kailangan ko nga magpa-lipo or ipatanggal ‘yung excess skin because impossible mag-lose ng 84 lbs ng walang excess skin.”
(I just wanted to remind everyone that I lost 84 lbs without undergoing liposuction. I still even need to undergo such surgery to remove the excess skin I have after losing weight.)

Barretto further stressed that she worked hard to lose weight naturally, and that the last time she underwent liposuction was after she gave birth in 2007.
“Thank God, arms ko lang ‘yung nag-sag and other parts ng katawan ko hindi nag-sag. Pasensya na po ‘di po ako perfect, and thank you for not being judgmental.”
(Thank God that only my arms sagged and not the other parts of my body. I’m sorry I’m not perfect, but thank you for not being judgmental.)

Barretto, in a separate post, also shared a screenshot of her response to comments about her body, which drew messages of support from fans.
