The part of Claudine Barretto’s interview-vlog where she claimed her estranged husband Raymart Santiago took “hundreds of millions” from her, has been removed from YouTube after the actor’s lawyer reminded her of the gag order amid the pair’s pending annulment case.

Barretto spoke about the alleged money she needed to take back from Santiago when interviewed by TV host-actor Luis Manzano, as seen in a vlog on Manzano’s YouTube channel on Jan. 2.

In response, Santiago’s camp released a statement on Friday, Jan. 5, disclosing that a gag order issued on Sept. 20, 2023, directed the former couple to “refrain from expressing in any form, making any defamatory statement or comment, or answer questions pertaining to the other party, and from publicizing the same through print, broadcast media, or digital media.”

“We will not address, dignify, or respond to any statements made by Ms. Barretto regarding our client, for doing so is a breach of the Gag Order issued by the Honorable Court where the parties’ case for nullity of marriage is undergoing trial,” the actor’s camp said, as per a statement exclusively obtained by ABS-CBN.

“In light of the foregoing, we remind Ms. Barretto and all other media outlets that making, airing, and publishing defamatory statements about our client are violations of a court order,” it further noted.

The actor’s camp then underscored that the truth will come to light as they have put their trust in the country’s judicial system.

“We will ensure that all legal actions will be taken to protect our client’s rights. The truth regarding the matter will come to light in the proper forum,” it concluded.

Hours after Santiago’s statement was made public, Manzano’s interview-vlog with Barretto was noticeably edited to remove the part where the actress spoke against Santiago.

At the vlog’s 18:47 mark, an abrupt cut can be seen as Barretto was talking about how Manzano’s mom, Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos, helped her during her recent “nervous breakdown.”

In the original version of the video, Barretto disclosed that Santos was the one whom she talked to about her court cases with Santiago.
