Britney Spears shows support for ex Justin Timberlake’s new song
It could be ’90s all over again as Princess of Pop Britney Spears extended support to her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake as he released his new single.
On Instagram, the “Baby One More Time” singer penned an apology concerning the things included in her memoir, without directly stating if it was an apology for Timberlake, who was one of those mentioned in the book.
“I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry,” she began.
Spears then declared her support for Timberlake’s new song. “Also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song, ‘Selfish.’ It is [so] good,” she wrote.
Spears’ Instagram post came after the news that her 2011 track “Selfish” topped the iTunes charts and overtook Timberlake’s new song of the same title, as the “Lucky” singer’s fans rallied to support Spears’ song 13 years after it was released.

This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated. But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young,” wrote Spears in her memoir.
The “Sometimes” singer revealed in her memoir that if the choice was entirely up to her, she would have dealt with the abortion in the opposite way.
“If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father. To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life,” opened up Spears.
