As read in the film’s synopsis, “Lisa Frankenstein” tells the story of a high school student in 1989 who accidentally brings a corpse (Cole Sprouse) to life. The horror-romantic comedy is inspired by the Gothic novel “Frankenstein.”
The movie also features Hollywood stars Carla Gugino, Joe Chrest and Henry Eikenberry, among others, and its screenplay is written by Diablo Cody. It will have its global premiere on Feb. 9, but Philippine cinemas will screen it in advance on Feb. 7.
Besides preparing for her Hollywood debut, Soberano revealed that she is currently setting up a US-based production studio and is preoccupied with seven projects for herself and for the artists she will be handling.
