Kris Aquino plays cupid to Carla Abellana, ‘doctor friend’

Kris Aquino may be feeling physical pain due to her autoimmune diseases and treatments, but that didn’t stop her from playing matchmaker for actress Carla Abellana.
On Instagram, Abella commented on one of Aquino’s health updates and extended her prayers to her. In reply, the actress-TV host dropped her romantic idea, suggesting a meet-up between her doctor friend and Abellana.
“If you’re already in the process of getting annulled, we have a doctor friend based in OC (Orange Country, in California) who might be a great match,” the “Queen of All Media” casually said.

Aquino was, of course, referring to Abellana’s estranged husband, actor Tom Rodriguez, with whom the latter was in a relationship with for seven years before their controversial breakup soon after their wedding in 2022.
Abellana earlier admitted that she saw signs of red flags during the early stages of their relationship but she chose to ignore them, believing the relationship was worth it.
Despite her failed marriage, Abellana shared that she still believes in love, although she no longer sees herself going down the path of marriage again.
“I still believe in love [but] aaminin ko na madaming nag-change sa perspective ko, especially with marriage,” Abellana said. “So I really, honestly don’t see myself getting married again,”
Meanwhile, Aquino who is currently attending to her health, has her share of romance as well. She was at one time in a relationship with Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste before breaking it off with him a few weeks after their announcement.
Despite their on-and-off relationship, and a few statements from Aquino that “they’re just friends” now, Leviste has been a solid presence amid Aquino’s health journey.
Aquino and her sons Joshua and Bimby are taking up residence in California in the United States for her medical treatments.
