Camille Prats shared a virtual tour of her family’s home, a three-story house that has an elevator and a balcony with a city view.

The actress toured broadcaster Bernadette Sembrano in her house, as seen on the latter’s vlog last Saturday, Jan. 13. Prats, her husband VJ Yambao, and their four children moved into their new home in April 2022.

The basement includes the family’s gym area, garage area and a man cave; the ground floor features the kitchen, dining and living room; the kids rooms and family room are located on the second floor; while the master bedroom, office room and the balcony are on the third floor.

FEATURED STORIES

“Kami ni VJ, when we moved in here, we can’t really say na dugo at pawis namin ito (When we moved in here, VJ and I can’t really say that this house came from our blood and sweat). I feel like it is not in my own effort that it is built,” Prats told Sembrano.

“When the pandemic came, parang ang daming endorsements na parang kahit sa akin, ‘Saan ‘to galing?’…. Of course, if it’s an endorsement, it’s really a good amount of money. ‘Yun lahat, [binigay ng Diyos],” she added.

(When the pandemic came, there were a lot of endorsements for me that even I asked, “Where are all these coming from?” Of course, if it’s an endorsement, it’s really a good amount of money. It was all God’s gift.)

Prats noted that although she has been in the show business since she was a child, a huge percentage of her saving was allotted to their family investments. “Itong bahay na ito, hindi ko pwedeng sabihin na galing do’n yung funds for this.”

(I can’t say that the fund used to build this house was from my savings.)

‘Hindi ko alam saan ko pupulutin ‘yung sarili ko’

Sembrano also sat with Prats during the vlog and asked the actress about the “hardest part” of her life.

“‘Yung pinakamahirap (The hardest situation) that I had to go through was losing my first husband because at that time, I was 26,” she answered, referring to her late husband Anthony Linsangan who died of cancer in 2011.

Prats recounted how she and Linsangan were just starting their life as a family at the time, and how she was “forced into maturity” when she lost him.

“When he passed away, hindi ko alam kung saan ko pupulutin ‘yung sarili ko… Hindi ko alam paano ako magsi-simula ulit,” she recalled, admitting she didn’t want to enter another marriage at the time.

(When he passed away, I didn’t know how I would pick myself up. I didn’t know how to start again.)

Relationship with VJ

Looking back at the beginning of her relationship with Yambao, Prats admitted that both of their families were against them being together because they both have children from their previous relationships, making their circumstances “too complicated.”

Nathan is Prats’ son with Linsangan, while Ice is Yambao’s son with his former partner. The couple have two children together, namely Nala and Nolan.

“Naiintindihan ko (I understand it) from a parents’ point of view, but there’s something about VJ and I that we just know that we really like each other,” Prats spoke of their relationship.

“VJ made me feel like he really wanted to be a part of my life. Feeling ko (I felt like) I didn’t need anyone but he made me feel like, ‘I’m here for you.'”

Prats admitted that having a blended family is “hard to navigate” but she underscored that they are “very happy” with their current family setup.
