Tippy Dos Santos pens heartfelt birthday greeting to mom after tragic death

Tippy Dos Santos penned a heartfelt birthday greeting to her mother after her tragic death in December 2023.
On Instagram, the singer-actress posted some family photos that show her, her parents John and Happy, and her sister Jackie on their travels abroad.
“Happy birthday, Mom. I will miss your beautiful smile every single day,” wrote Santos on Friday, Jan. 5. “Thank you for reminding us to capture photos of every special moment in our lives. I will always be grateful for these photos we have as a family. I miss you so much already. I love you.”
The “Dati” singer’s parents had figured in a vehicular accident in South Korea during their vacation. Santos’ father is currently recovering from sustained injuries, while her mother went into a coma before her passing.
In an interview over ABS-CBN, Santos detailed the traumatic accident that happened to her parents, saying her father suffered five to six fractured ribs and a minor abdominal injury or trauma, while her mother endured rib bleeding, fractures and a head injury.
“She was unconscious, and ‘yung katawan niya, you can see that she was badly injured, but what was most heartbreaking the first time I saw her was how she’s not responsive, her tongue was just out, and she was on a ventilator,” the singer opened up.
“That was just the most heartbreaking thing to see, and the doctors told us that she had a respiratory arrest, and that’s why she was unable to breathe for a time; that’s why she was in a coma,” added Santos.
Happy’s death was announced on her official Facebook page on Dec. 30, 2023.
“Our beloved Happy passed away after suffering injuries from a traffic accident in Seoul, Korea. She fought for her life, but in the end, the Lord decided to bring our beloved Happy home. The hurt of this loss to our family is indescribable, and we will miss her every single day,” the statement read.
