Jennylyn Mercado, Ellen Adarna on maintaining pretty looks as ‘hot mommas’

MANILA, Philippines—Jennylyn Mercado and Ellen Adarna are two “hot mommas” that show mothers can still look great. And they admit that they do not feel any pressure to maintain their pretty looks.
“I’m super flattered when people call me that (hot momma). But I do not want to put pressure on myself especially with how I look,” Mercado told INQUIRER.net in an online interview.
Adarna chimed in: “Taking care of myself on a regular basis doesn’t feel like pressure. I’ve been doing it for years consistently, so it’s just like breathing. It’s something very normal for me.”
And both celebrity moms agree that, as mothers who teach their children the value of inner beauty, it is still essential to take care of one’s physical well-being.
“If you look good on the outside, you feel more confident, which also, in a way, affects how we view ourselves and others,” Mercado explained.

Adarna was more upfront, and said, “nobody wants to look and feel ugly, it’s as simple as that.”
And for the holiday season where people are more stressed, Mercado advised mothers to hydrate. “No matter how busy you are with shopping, always drink water,” reminded the actress, and mother to Alex and Dylan.
Adarna, mother to Elias, tells moms to learn how to prioritize. “Swallow some vitamin ‘N,’ vitamin ‘No.’ You always have a choice,” she said.
“Me-times” are hard to come by as working moms. But bkth moms find them essential. So on the rare occasions that they get some time for themselves, both Mercado and Adarna head to wellness establishments.
Adarna added: “Massages.. silence and alone in my room is my ultimate me time.”
