Sarah Lahbati clarified that she never said the statement attributed to her in a quote card circulating online, which claims that the actress supposedly lamented her husband Richard Gutierrez getting “brainwashed.”
Lahbati set the record straight, reminding the public to be wary of fake news on social media via her broadcast channel on her Instagram page on Monday, Dec. 11.
“Just wanted to clear something and this is the last time (hopefully) that I’ll have to do this,” she said, showing a screenshot of the quote card.
“Please beware of fake news. I never said this,” she added.
In the quote card, Lahbati supposedly said that Richard “changed” after he got “brainwashed.” It also claimed that Lahbati advised those planning to get married to “get to know [their] future in-laws so [they] won’t end up like [her].”

While the actress did not expound on the post, it can be noted that this came amid speculations that she had parted ways with Richard.
It is also worth noting that the actor’s mom, Annabelle Rama, earlier spoke about the pair’s marriage and declared that the public will know about the truth “in due time.”

Meanwhile, Lahbati wowed fans after she flaunted her “stretch marks and all” in a separate post.
Lahbati and Richard, who got married in March 2020, have two sons together, namely Zion and Kai. The couple has so far refrained from making any public statements regarding rumors of their separation.
