Annabelle Rama amid assumptions on Richard-Sarah marriage: ‘Gigil na ako isiwalat ang katotohanan’

Annabelle Rama slammed rumormongers who apparently accused her of being the reason behind her son Richard Gutierrez’s falling-out with his wife Sarah Lahbati.
A day after she broke her silence on the breakup speculations hounding Richard and Lahbati, Rama addressed the netizens via her Instagram page on Friday, Dec. 8, telling them to stop spreading “false stories.”
“Mga Chismosang Marites! Tigilan niyo na ang gumawa ng maling kwento,” the talent manager said. “‘Wag niyo nang dagdagan ang mga maling balita, malalaman niyo rin ang katotohanan in due time.”
(To the rumormongers! Stop making up stories. Don’t add to the false news. You will know the truth in due time.)
“Baka ma-shock kayo at hindi na ako ang lalabas na kontrabida. Malalaman niyo kung sino ang walang-hiya na kontrabida. Mali ang [bintang] niyo sa akin,” she asserted.
(You might be shocked because you would no longer see me as the villain. You will discover who really is the antagonist here. You have criticized the wrong person.)

Rama stressed that the public should not put the blame on her on the matter as she had no idea how everything happened so fast.
“Sino ba ang may gustong maghiwalay sila? Ako ba? Or ang mag-ina?” she stated. “Nagulat na lang ako biglang dumating ang nanay at tatay galing ibang bansa. Doon na nag umpisa ang malaking gulo. Wag niyo ibagsak sa akin ang sisi.”
(Who wants to break them up? Is it me or the mother and her daughter? I was surprised when the parents came home from abroad. That was when the huge mess started. Don’t put the blame on me.)
While Rama did not name who were the individuals she was referring to, it can be noted that Lahbati has been frequently seen spending time with her parents—Moroccan dad Abdelilah and Filipino mom Estrella.
“Kung hindi ako pinagbawalan ng lawyer na magsalita, mag-enjoy sana ang buong mundo sa sasabihin kong kwento. Gigil na gigil na akong isiwalat ang katotohanan sa pangyayari pero wala akong magawa,” Rama added, teasing netizens to “watch out for the next chapter.”

(If only my lawyer did not forbid me to speak up, the whole world would have enjoyed the story I have to tell. I am so eager to uncover the truth, but I cannot do anything.)
“Basta ako ayaw ko silang maghiwalay [dahil] mahal ko ang mga apo ko,” she stressed. (All I know is that I don’t want them to break up because I love my grandchildren.)

Rama earlier revealed that Richard has been staying in her house for a month now, but the Gutierrez matriarch did not immediately confirm if the actor has indeed parted ways with Lahbati.
Rama also appeared to have taken a swipe at Lahbati as the former said, “Si Richard trabaho nang trabaho, ‘yung isa nagwawaldas ng pera. ‘Yun lang ang masasabi ko diyan.”
(Richard has been working hard, while the other one has been splurging. That’s all I can say.)
Richard and Lahbati, who got married in March 2020, have two sons together, namely Zion and Kai. The couple has yet to publicly speak up on the split rumors as of this writing.
