Heart Evangelista admits Marian Rivera offered olive branch that led to their reconciliation

Heart Evangelista, who made headlines after renewing her friendship with Marian Rivera earlier this month, revealed that it was the latter who made an effort to initiate their reconciliation.
During an interview with 24 Oras on GMA News’ YouTube channel last Wednesday, Nov. 29, Evangelista said Rivera reached out to their “common friends” to rekindle their bond.
“I really do give credit to Marian. She really spoke to a lot of our common friends that she’d like to see me, ganyan. Siya [ang nag-reach out], so I really appreciate that,” she said.
The actress-fashion personality admitted that she’s “very happy” about her renewed friendship with the “Marimar” star, while noting that she’s thankful that “things are done for the better.”
“Magpapasalamat kang (You’ll be grateful that) things are done and were removed for the better. Everything else, like people I was friends with before, for example, Marian. It’s such a trivial matter for it to be anything,” she said.
“Mas may ibang mas nakakasakit sa’yo na kailangan tanggalin ni Lord, meron naman iba na deserving (There were hurtful people that the Lord had to remove from your life. There are some who are deserving to stay), so I’m very, very happy that Marian and I are okay,” she continued.
After a longstanding feud between them in 2011, Evangelista and Rivera caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans after they followed each other on Instagram.
Both actresses, however, stressed in 24 Oras interview last Nov. 11 that while their friendship was repaired for the better, they opted to keep the details of their reconciliation private.
