Heart Evangelista mends ties with Marian Rivera: ‘Real queens support each other’

Heart Evangelista opened up about her renewed friendship with fellow actress Marian Rivera, with the former noting that such is a testament to how “real queens support each other.”

The actress-fashion icon spoke about this during an event for an online fashion retailer, in an interview for “24 Oras” on Saturday, Nov. 11.

“I don’t want it to be anything that’s for publicity because something like that should be from your heart. Marian and I, we’ve always liked each other,” Evangelista told the press. “Real queens support each other.”

Evangelista further stressed that the previous rivalry between her and Rivera was caused by “people around [them] that make things bad.”

“I guess it’s just a matter of time and honestly, I really appreciate her for—she has a very strong character but I really appreciate her kindness and just her heart,” she said.

When asked if they would be working together in future projects, Evangelista said they are still both busy at the moment but what’s important is that they’re OK behind the cameras.

Evangelista and Rivera have had personal differences with each other dating back to 2011, when they worked together in the drama-comedy film “Temptation Island.”

Talks of their rekindled friendship arose among fans in October after netizens noticed that the two actresses have followed each other on Instagram, and even commented on each other’s posts.
