Instead of spending money for Christmas and birthday gifts this coming January, Sharon Cuneta urged her fans to instead donate to an animal shelter to ensure the animals’ health and safety.
Cuneta, who will turn 58 in January 2024, made the request on her Instagram account on Thursday, Nov. 16, while addressing her family and friends as well.
“Please — do not buy me anything. I have way too much stuff, we are always blessed with so much food from everyone,” she said. “But if you really want to give me something that I will appreciate and treasure, please donate instead to @pawssionproject.”
The singer-actress then spoke about her love for dogs “of any and all breeds,” while pointing out the need for them to be “well-fed and healthy” at all times.
“Any amount or anything in kind that you give me will be truly appreciated and we will be so grateful to you. This is what I want for this Christmas and my birthday that would really make me happiest,” she said.
While clarifying that she’s thankful for her fans’ support, she stressed that she doesn’t need anything more and that animals deserve help.
“It would really fill my heart though if you give to our dogs instead of any kind of gift to me. I do not need anything more,” she wrote. “I need all the help I can get for the animals I love so much. These animals can’t speak for themselves.”
Cuneta made headlines in October after holding a three-night reunion concert with her ex-husband Gabby Concepcion, during which her firstborn daughter KC made a special appearance.
Following the event, she appealed to naysayers to stop making her children fight, and stressed that the concert was made possible with the support of her current husband Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and their children.
