Charlie Dizon is aware of the negative comments surrounding her relationship with Carlo Aquino, however, she pointed out that critics are the “things [she] can’t control.”
Dizon briefly addressed criticisms regarding her relationship with her “Third World Romance” co-star during an interview with ABS-CBN News, which was uploaded on their YouTube channel last Monday, Oct. 23, while noting that she and the actor are “happy” together.
“Those are the things that I can’t control. I can only control what I can control, gan’un lang (that’s it). At the end of the day, masaya kami eh. So bakit ko iisipin ‘yung ibang bagay (We’re happy. So why should I think of other things),” she said.
The actress also said that she would rather focus on the blessings she has in her life.
“I’m so blessed. So parang, mas nagfo-focus ako sa [pagiging] blessed ko ngayon (So I would rather focus on being blessed at the moment),” she said.
When asked what she likes most about Aquino, the “Pira-Pirasong Paraiso” star said that he’s the partner who gave “structure” to her life.”
“Binibigyan niya ako ng structure sa buhay. Not a lot know about that kay Carlo, pero kung alam lang talaga nila kung sino si Carlo (He gave me structure in my life. Not a lot knows that about Carlo. But only if they knew what type of person Carlo is),” she said.
Last January, Aquino confirmed that he’s dating Dizon, even as he advised the public to “not meddle with other people’s personal lives.”
Meanwhile, the actress addressed the “Seasons” star as her boyfriend for the first time in July 2023.
