Vice Ganda revealed that he was offered by ABS-CBN to host an updated version of the talk show Gandang Gabi Vice (GGV) but admitted that he couldn’t do three shows at once anymore.

Vice Ganda revealed this in response to one @imtristansicat on X (formerly Twitter) last Saturday, Oct. 21, who hoped for GGV’s return while questioning the media giant for not bringing it back on air.

“I was actually asked by the management when I signed my new contract if I wanted to do GGV again. I couldn’t do 3 shows anymore, he said.

Despite this, Vice Ganda clarified that he’s open to doing “GGV” again, although he noted that it would be on a “seasonal” basis.

“Baka pagtapos ng ‘Everybody Sing’ let’s see kung keri ko na. Pero seasonal na lng. Di ko na keri ung another 10 years (Maybe when ‘Everybody Sing’ ends, let’s see if I can do it. But on a seasonal basis. I can’t do it for another 10 years),” he said.

In a separate post, the “Praybeyt Benjamin” star admitted that he got tired of interviewing the same guests all over again, saying it’s one of the reasons why he “decided to sign off.”

“Actually true to. Nagsawa na din ako sa paulit ulit na guests. Isa yun sa mga rason kaya i decided to sign off. Pero ngayon mukhang mas malalim na ang balon ng guests kasi sanib pwersa na ang mga networks (hopefully),” he said.

(Actually, this is true. I got tired of hosting the same guests all over again. It’s one of the reasons why I decided to sign off. But it looks like we’ll feature more guests since the network war is over. Hopefully.)

Vice Ganda nonetheless thanked fans who expressed their support for the talk show in separate posts, hoping that his “body and mind” can handle the task in the future.

“Super nakakahappy na kahit ilang years nang di umeere ang GGV bukambibig pa din ito ng madami,” he said. “I’m so blessed to have 3 programs na kinakapitan talaga ng mga tao. It’s Showtime, GGV and Everybody Sing. Thank you ABS CBN.”

(It makes me super happy that even though it’s been years since GGV was on air, many people are still fond of the show. I’m so blessed to have three programs that people love: ‘It’s Showtime,’ ‘GGV,’ and ‘Everybody Sing.’ Thank you, ABS-CBN.)

Vice Ganda is currently one of the mainstay hosts of noontime show “It’s Showtime,” which was slapped with a 12-day suspension by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) earlier this month, as well as musical game show “Everybody Sing.”

GGV was a late night talk show that featured funny interviews, segments, and performances with celebrities. It aired from May 2011 to March 2020. EDV
