Albie Casiño says he doesn’t care about Andi Eigenmann’s love life: ‘It doesn’t bother me’

Albie Casiño frankly said that he does not care about his ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann‘s current love life and that he is not open to working with the actress in future projects.
Casiño disclosed this to members of the press during an ambush interview at the “Can’t Buy Me Love” media conference last Oct. 4. The topic was brought up after Casiño recalled his first meeting with fellow actor Jake Ejercito, the father of Andi’s eldest child Ellie.
“Lumapit ako [kay Jake. I told him], ‘I’m sure you know who I am. Wala akong problema sa’yo. I hope you have no problem with me personally,'” Casiño recounted. “We shook hands, toast, cheers, gano’n lang.”
(I approached Jake and told him, “I’m sure you know who I am. I don’t have a problem with you. I hope you have no problem with me personally.” We shook hands, toast, cheers, that’s all.)
“There’s no need to talk about it,” he added, referring to the paternity dispute they got involved in years ago. “Parang with me making that [gesture], coming to him, that’s my way of saying na we’re done na with that part.”
Casiño was then asked if he was open to being in the same project with Andi, to which the actor replied, “‘Yun ang hindi.” (The answer to that would be no.)
“I can go on [with] the rest of my life without having to deal with that,” he continued, but noted that he would greet the actress if they bumped into each other.
Casiño further said that he hasn’t had a proper conversation with Andi about the past issue, but stressed that such no longer matters to him.
“I don’t need to say it like this pero wala talaga kong pakialam e (but I really don’t care),” he responded after he was asked if he was happy for Andi who is apparently “happy with her love life.” “It doesn’t bother me. I don’t think about it.”
Casiño got involved in a paternity controversy in 2011 when Andi got pregnant and named the actor as the father.
Casiño denied being the father of the child, and his budding showbiz career at the time was cut short as he was lambasted by the public. It was later revealed by Andi’s sister, Max Eigenmann, that Ejercito is Ellie’s dad.
In 2021, Casiño claimed that he never received an apology from Andi, but this was refuted by Andi’s sister, Stevie Eigenmann, who showed a screenshot of what appears to be a conversation between Casiño and Andi.
Andi has been co-parenting Ellie with Ejercito. She is now based in Siargao with her fiancé, celebrity surfer Philmar Alipayo, and their two children Lilo and Koa. /ra
