‘Brave’

From Disney and Pixar, “Brave” follows the heroic journey of skilled archer Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald), head-strong daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Merida defies a sacred age-old custom, unleashing chaos throughout the kingdom. When she turns to an eccentric Witch (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to harness all of her skills and resources to undo a beastly curse—in the course of which she discovers the meaning of true bravery.

Pixar tags “Brave”—directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman—as its “most daring, sophisticated and complex feature film to date.”
