Angelica Panganiban marks 1st birthday of daughter Amila Sabine
As Angelica Panganiban celebrates her daughter, Amila Sabine’s first birthday, she thanked her little girl for giving her the happiest chapter of her life.
In her birthday shout-out for her firstborn, fondly called Bean, the award-winning actress recalled how fearful and doubtful she felt about starting her motherhood journey.
“Punong-puno ng takot ang buong pagkatao ko [nang] ganitong oras last year. Marahil dahil sa dami ng mga hindi ko alam gawin. Sa lahat ng duda. At nang sa hindi ko na mapigilan ang grand entrance mo [emoji],” shared the former child star, who took her followers to a trip down memory lane with snaps of a younger Bean in her Instagram post.
(My whole being was filled with fear this time last year. It’s probably because of the many things I did not know how to do. All my doubts. And when I could no longer delay your grand entrance.)
“Pero sa kabila ng lahat ng kaba, ikaw ang naggabay sakin kung pano maging isang ina. Hindi perpekto, pero sapat. Yun naman ang mahalaga. Salamat salamat salamat [nang] paulit-ulit sa pinakamasayang chapter ng buhay ko,” she said, and continued to express her appreciation and love for her baby girl.
(However, in spite of all the nerves, you were the one who guided me on how to become a mother. Not perfect, but enough. That’s what’s important, anyway. Thank you over and over again for the happiest chapter of my life.)
“Happy birthday love. Isang taon na kong baliw sayo. Ilang taon pa kaya tayo magiging baliw sa isat isa? Mahal na mahal kita [nang] wagas (It’s been a year that I’ve been crazy over you. For how many more years will we be crazy over each other? I love you so very much) [emoji],” she told her toddler, who has already started walking.

Several friends and colleagues from the entertainment industry sent love to both, including her close friends Kim Chiu and Bela Padilla, who missed the celebrity mom during a recent meetup in Switzerland. Bean also received greetings from Panganiban’s former co-stars Anne Curtis, Jodi Sta. Maria, and Agot Isidro.
The mother-and-daughter duo, along with Bean’s father and the actress’ fiancé, Gregg Homan, recently flew to Australia, where Homan celebrated his birthday. Earlier, the couple, who plans to hold their wedding next year, visited Siargao to conduct an ocular. EDV
