Michelle Madrigal announced that she will be taking an indefinite break from social media as she aims to work on herself and be “the woman God intended [her] to be.”
Over a month after confirming that she is single again, United States-based Madrigal temporarily deleted her social media applications to focus on her faith and mental health.
“I have decided to step away from these platforms indefinitely to work on myself and deepen my relationship with the Lord. Summer gave me an opportunity to look inward and reflect on myself,” she said via her Instagram page on Monday, Sept 18.
“The last couple weeks of silence, prayers and isolation has been the best decision for my mental health,” she added. “Learning through meditation, community, sobriety, celibacy, and healing as I go through the journey of becoming the woman God intended me to be.”
Madrigal then concluded her post by reminding her followers that “you become what you consume.”
In the comments section, fans admired the former actress for enriching her faith and for being an inspiration to them.
Meanwhile, Madrigal confirmed her split with her American boyfriend Kyle in July as she declared that she is now “single, healing and happy.”
Madrigal introduced Kyle to the public in August last year, four months after her divorce from her ex-husband Troy Woolfolk was finalized. Madrigal and Woolfolk share a daughter named Anika. /ra
