Liza Diño pens song ‘Your Biggest Fan’ as Ice Seguerra turns 40

Actress Liza Diño recently wrote a song for her husband Ice Seguerra, as she reminded the now 40-year-old musician that she will remain his “biggest fan.”
Before unveiling her special composition for the birthday celebrant, the former chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), in a letter to her better half, reflected on the decade that has passed since the first time they marked Seguerra’s birthday together.
“Dear Love, [i]t was your 30th birthday when we first celebrated together, and since then[,] hindi na tayo mapaghiwalay (we have been inseparable). In those ten years, ang dami na nating pinagdaanan (we’ve gone through so much already) — the ups, downs, the highs, lows and everything in between,” expressed Diño, who added that despite all the changes that have happened, she continues to be her husband’s number one fan.
“Maraming nagbago (A lot has changed) but there was one thing that was constant and has never changed, and even if sometimes I don’t get to tell you… I still am and will always be your biggest fan,” claimed the former beauty queen, who uploaded in her social media pages several snaps that captured her documenting the performances of the singer-songwriter.
“And in the spirit of our songwriting mode, I wrote a song for you. Hehe… Love you mahal ko (my love),” she continued, and proceeded to reveal the lyrics of “Your Biggest Fan.”
In her creation, as the actor-TV host’s “coolest, craziest, most loyal fan,” she assured Seguerra that she will stay by his side “[w]hen you are at your lowest.” She also reminded him that when he feels “alone like no one cares,” he can “[l]ook to the crowd and know I am there.”
“Because I’m your biggest fan, you see? And the luckiest one to be called your BABY,” the following and final words of the song read.
The “Pagdating ng Panahon” hitmaker — who, earlier in the year, met his “hero,” Alanis Morissette — celebrated his special day surrounded by those closest to him. The “chill” gathering was organized by his wife, and was attended by celebrities such as Angel Aquino, Jeffrey Hidalgo, Bituin Escalante, and Juris Fernandez, among others.
The birthday boy, who initially did not want to have a party, but felt he had to have one for his 40th birthday, replied to his wife’s touching dedication in style — expressing his gratitude with his own composition.
Seguerra described Diño as his “fiercest protector” and “[n]ot just an inspiration[,] [b]ut a collaborator.” “Thanks to you, I can dream and make it come true[,] [k]nowing that every step I am with you,” read some lines from his response.

Meanwhile, the “Toto” actress, who married the former child star in the US in December 2014, recently marked the 40th day since the death of her father, former Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Martin Diño. Her father died at the age of 66 after battling stage 4 cancer. EDV
