SexBomb’s Izzy ‘puts hope on Jesus’ after son Andrei comes out
Days after her son Andrei introduced himself as drag queen Sofia, SexBomb member Izzy Trazona-Aragon spoke about “putting hope on Jesus”—a remark that prompted the former to reveal that he had lied about his mother’s “acceptance” to protect her from backlash.
Trazona-Aragon stressed in a Facebook post on Monday, Sept. 11, that Andrei is “always in [her] prayers” while opening about “holding on [to] the truth that is written in the bible.”
“Sometimes, parents & their children have disagreements and [it’s] normal. But I know both sides have that pain in their [heart] and wish that they will just simply agree w/ each other… I myself, experience being a daughter to my parents, I have a lot of things in mind to do, but my mom will keep on saying ‘no.’ Of course sadness & hatred is what I felt, and later did I know, that she is just protecting me,” she said.
The SexBomb member said that while she agrees that she’ll “never know” where her son is coming from, she pointed out that Andrei hasn’t experienced what it feels like to be a parent.

The One who created us,” she wrote. “So if my children, the 4 of them, will do something that is against the faith that I have in Christ, that will I disagree. I point them to Jesus because with that I will be secured with their future… Putting my hope on what Jesus did on the cross for me.”

“Sino ba naman magulang ang gustong mapahamak ang anak? When all your motive is to save them sa mas masakit na pwede nilang maranasan. Ang buhay na wala si Kristo (What kind of parent wants their child to be put in danger? When all your motive is to save them from what harm might possibly happen? A life without God),” she said.
“Andrei anak, I love you so much to not support you on things that will harm you. I am always here for you… your mama, mahal na mahal kita (I love you so much),” she further added.
‘I lied in an interview’
In a seeming response to his mother, Andrei said on Facebook that he “lied” about the SexBomb member’s acceptance to “protect her from any backlash” while admitting that “there’s no point” in doing so.
“I LIED IN AN INTERVIEW that she supports [what] I am and for what I do just to protect her from any backlash but there’s no point in protecting her because the truth came out straight from her,” he wrote. “As much as I love you, you know that I don’t wanna live in a lie.”
Andrei then admitted that he wants to “end the argument” about “living his own truth” while saying his love for his mother “is not healthy” for him anymore.
“I’m sustaining myself for years now and I am living responsibly honest. I’m tired of this conversation about me being gay and doing drag. I wanna end this argument by saying that ‘| wanna live my own truth and someday you will be proud of what I will become,’ he said.
“I love you so much mom but this isn’t healthy for me anymore. I hope someday you will understand how it feels to be in my shoes. I miss you but you’re not bringing me any comfort and compassion I deserve,” he continued.
Andrei hinted about being heartbroken with Trazona-Aragon’s remarks in a separate post while noting that she “doesn’t accept [him]” for who he is.
“It’s like saying i love you because you’re my son but i don’t accept you for who you are,” he wrote.
The SexBomb member has yet to address her son’s remarks as of this writing. /ra
