KC Concepcion on Sharon: ‘I really would like for my mom and I to be best friends again’

If KC Concepcion ever will ever have a chance to “rewrite a part of her life,” she will seek to be “best friends again” with her mother, seasoned actress-singer Sharon Cuneta.
Concepcion made the revelation during the program ‘Updated with Nelson Canlas.’
The interview was seen on GMA Integrated News’ YouTube channel last Friday, September 8.
The topic was brought up after Canlas asked the actress to share if there’s ever a part of life that she would like to rewrite if she has the power to do so.
“Wow, good question,” answered Concepcion.
“I mean, of course, there are. You know, I really would like for my mom and I to be best friends again,” she said without going into details.
“There’s a lot of years that have gone by. You know, siyempre, may mga destructions kami. (Of course, we had a lot of destructions) and I know later on in life, we will be better than ever,” she said.
The actress said she looks forward to special moments when her relationship will her mother will become better.
“Hindi mawawala ‘yung pagmamahal namin sa isa’t isa. Siguro, one day, ‘pag ikinasal na ako and ‘pag nagka-anak na ako, I think that would bring my mom and I closer than ever,” she said.
(Our love for each other will never fade. Perhaps, one day, when I get married and have a child, I think that will bring my mom and I closer than ever.)
“I want her to know na mahal na mahal ko siya and loyal ako sa kanya. ‘Yung talaga. Nanay ko siya! Dugo niya, dugo ko,” she said.
(I want her to know that I love her so much and I’m loyal to her. That’s it. She’s my mother. Her blood, my blood.)
“Kung ang lola ko nga, inalagaan naming mag-nanay, what more siya? Yun lang yung sa ‘kin,” she recalled.
(If my mother and I took care of my grandmother, what more with her? That’s what it is for me. )
Concepcion’s statement comes, days after she confirmed unfollowing her stepfather Kiko Pangilinan and stepsister Kakie Pangilinan on Instagram.
However, she clarified they have “enough love” to overcome their hurdle.
Prior to the interview, Cuneta caught the attention of fans after making a cryptic post addressed to “one of her children” who supposedly talks about love that “doesn’t happen.”
