Trina Candaza celebrated the third birthday of her daughter Mithi in a unicorn inspired-party. But the child’s father, Carlo Aquino, was noticeably nowhere in sight during the gathering.
Candaza took to her Instagram account on Sunday, September 10, to share glances of her daughter’s birthday party that was attended by family, friends, and showbiz personalities like Ogie Diaz and JC Santos, who came with her wife Shyleena Herrera.
“Enola Mithi’s 3rd Birthday [sparkle emoji] Thank you to everyone who attended Mithi’s special day,” her Instagram post caption reads.
The mother and daughter donned peach-colored dresses and enjoyed their time with party guests, as shown in a separate social media post.
Several highlights of the celebration include Mithi’s unicorn-themed birthday cake, curated food carts, and wonderland-inspired decorations.
Candaza tapped Nice Print Photography to document her daughter’s birthday party, as seen on the photo studio’s posts on its official Instagram page.
“Happy birthday Mithi!” Nice Print wrote on Instagram.
In the posts comment section, celebrity couple Dianne Medina and Rodjun Cruz greeted Mithi while netizens expressed their concern over Aquino’s absence during his daughter’s special day.
“Where’s the father? What [an] irresponsible father..tsk tsk tsk , it comes only once a year but doesn’t even try to attend her daughter’s special day,” @adannanwigwe0725’s comment reads.
“Subrang proud po ako sayo Ms. Trina. Napaka tapang niyo po despite sa mga ginagawa ng ex mo (I’m so proud of you, Ms. Trina. You’re so brave despite what your ex has been doing). Strong mommy. Time will come. I love you po,” another Instagram user named @narsjannah said.

Aquino and Candaza started dating in January 2019. They welcomed Mithi in September 2020. But they eventually split in December 2021.
More than a year after that, Candaza denied accusations that she was banning Aquino from taking care of their daughter and that she was not providing financial support to Mithi.
The “Third World Romance” star is currently in a relationship with Charlie Dizon. Aquino confirmed this last January.
