Neri Naig’s supposed arraignment on Thursday, Jan. 9, for security violations in relation to her prior endorsement of embattled skincare company Dermacare, was rescheduled once again due to pending motions from her camp.

Naig was accompanied by her husband, Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda, when she appeared at the Pasay Regional Trial Court Branch 111 on Thursday, as seen in a “TV Patrol” report.

The court reportedly postponed her arraignment because of her camp’s pending motions, although the actress-entrepreneur and her legal team opted not to comment when asked for further details on the matter.

Naig was arrested last Nov. 23 and detained at the Pasay City Jail female dormitory for charges of estafa. She was released from detention last Dec. 4 after her camp’s motion to quash was partially granted.

On the other hand, Naig was accused of violating the Securities Regulation Code, with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) saying that the actress supposedly “enticed investments” into the company without the license to do so.

While Naig has been mum on her legal woes, her husband Miranda marked Christmas by expressing his gratitude for God’s guidance to their family.

“Maraming, maraming salamat, Lord, for always taking care of us. Thank You po kasi never Niyo kami pinabayaan,” he wrote in an Instagram post.
