KC Concepcion opened up again about her blended family and admitted that at times, she feels as if she’s all on her own as her parents Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion both have their own families.

KC got candid about this during an interview with comedian Ogie Diaz, as seen on the latter’s YouTube channel last Wednesday, Aug. 30.

“Ako lang ang pilit talagang nakikipagkita sa lahat ng involved sa blended family ko,” the actress said, after Diaz mentioned how Cuneta and Gabby apparently have yet to meet each other despite the rehearsals and promotions for their upcoming reunion concert.

(I’m the only one who makes an effort to meet everyone involved in my blended family.)

“Feeling ko parang naging responsibilidad kong maging OK sa lahat and to make sure na may relationship ako sa lahat, kasi family is very important for me. I love family,” KC continued.

(I feel like it has become my responsibility to be OK and to have a good relationship with all of them, because family is very important for me. I love family.)

KC then noted that some, especially those who have complete families, might find it hard to understand the younger actress’ blended family setup.

“For me, syempre may pamilya na rin ‘yung mother side ko pati ‘yung father side ko, minsan mafi-feel mo na mag-isa ka lang sa gitna,” she confessed. (My mother and father both have families of their own and at times, you will feel as if you’re all alone in the middle.)

She pointed out that there will be instances when misunderstandings may arise among family members, but she stressed the importance of working on one’s “maturity” to be able to handle such circumstances.

“Hindi lahat ng kapamilya makakasundo mo. Hindi lahat ng family magiging smooth ‘yung relasyon. May mga time talaga na pwedeng hindi kayo OK,” she told Diaz. “I think at the end of the day, level of maturity din ‘yan on both parts.”

(You might not get along well with all of the family members. Not all relationships in a family are smooth. There will be times when you will not be on good terms with them. I think at the end of the day, [what matters most is the] level of maturity on both parts.)

“Kung sakali man na merong mga away or hindi pagkakaintindihan, it’s OK. It will be OK,” she added. “Kung magkamali ka man, you just resolve and you make sure na you’re a better person. Don’t look back, tuloy-tuloy lang. Kung sino ‘yung meant sa’yo, babalik sa’yo.”

(If there are quarrels or misunderstandings, it’s OK. It will be OK. If you made a mistake, you just resolve it and make sure that you’ll be a better person. Don’t look back; keep going. Those who are meant [to be with you] will come back.)

KC also talked about her relationship with Cuneta and underscored that all is well between them.

“Meron din akong love sa mommy ko na parang hindi ko lagi nae-express. Pareho kami ni Mama na sobra kaming magmahalan pero aminado rin naman kami na [may] times na magkaiba rin kami,” she said.

(I do not get to always express my love for my mom. Mama and I are the same; we both love each other too much, but we also differ at times.)

“Pero OK kami (But we’re OK),” she clarified. “We love each other very much.”

KC recently made headlines after eagle-eyed netizens noticed that she had unfollowed her stepdad Kiko Pangilinan as well as her sister from her mother’s side, Frankie Pangilinan. KC later disclosed that she did so because she wanted “peace of mind.”  /ra
