KC Concepcion confessed that she has “mixed emotions” over the upcoming concert of her parents, screen veterans Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion, even as she hoped that it would be the start of a renewed “friendship” between the two.

KC is overwhelmed with joy when asked about her parents’ “Dear Heart” show, set for Oct. 27, during an ambush interview, as seen in a video uploaded by showbiz platform Random Republika on its official YouTube channel.

“Guys alam niyo na ako lang ang anak nila! So, I don’t think nararamdaman ng iba ‘yung nararamdaman ko about this reunion kasi mixed emotions siya. But of course, nanaig ‘yung happiness ko kasi pangarap kong makita ‘yung parents ko na masayang nag-uusap, nagtatawanan, magkasundo, [at] magkaibigan,” she said.

(Guys, you know that I’m their only child. So, I don’t think others feel what I feel about this reunion because I have mixed emotions. But of course, my happiness still prevailed because it’s my dream to see my parents happily talking, laughing, and are still in good terms with each other as friends.)

The actress then hoped that Cuneta and Concepcion’s concert would encourage them to rekindle their friendship, as she admitted that she wants to have a special participation in the show.

“So, hopefully, ipag-pray nating lahat na part talaga ng friendship nila… Hindi dahil gusto ko silang magkabalikan, don’t get me wrong. Hindi na but just happy ‘yung light lang and parents ko ‘yan. I always say and para sa lahat it’s a show pero para sa akin guys, totoong buhay ko ‘to,” she said.

(So hopefully, let’s pray that this will be the start of their friendship. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want them to get back together. I’m just happy seeing my parents in a lighter moment. For others, it’s just a show, but for me this feels real.)

“Sana naman [kasama ako] ‘no kasi male-left out ako kung hindi (I hope I’m part of the show because I would feel left out if I’m not),” she further added.

The “Asian Persuasion” star also admitted that seeing her parents together on one stage is a “dream come true” not only for her but also for their fans.

“It’s exciting, tears of joy. It’s a dream come true not just for me but for the Sharon-Gabby fans who dreamed and enjoyed their love team. Siyempre, kung may isang nage-enjoy ng love team nila, ako ‘yun kaya nga ako nandito (Of course, if there’s one who enjoys their love team the most, it’s me. This is why I’m here),” she said.
