Andrea Brillantes not yet open to ‘a man, commitment or boyfriend’

Andrea Brillantes seems to be enjoying life as a single woman after revealing that she’s not open to dating anyone at this time, months after her controversial break-up with basketball player Ricci Rivero.
The actress stressed on her “Date to Pass” vlog that she’s not keen on having a “man, or a commitment, or a boyfriend” at this time, which was uploaded on her YouTube channel last Monday, Aug. 21.
“As you all know, it’s only been a couple of months na naging single ako (since I became single) and I am not looking for a man, or a commitment, or a boyfriend, as of right now,” she said.
Making an apparent reference to her “jojowain or totropahin” video featuring her ex-boyfriend, Brillantes pointed out that “jojowain,” a colloquial term to describe someone whom you see yourself dating, is “just too serious” for her.
“So, the term ‘jojowain’ is just too serious for me. Ayoko ng ganoon eh. And of course, ayoko lang maulit ‘yung before na sabi ko totropahin and then he became my boyfriend. Hindi na tayo for the memes,” she said.
(So, the term “jojowain” is just too serious for me. I don’t want that. And of course, I don’t want the same thing to happen again—I said before that he was someone I saw as a friend only to end up dating him. We’re not for the memes anymore.)
The “Senior High” star appeared to have moved on from Rivero, as she revealed during an interview with a lifestyle magazine that she has gained “inner peace” after their break-up.
Meanwhile, Rivero is speculated to be in a relationship with beauty queen-turned-Los Baños councilor Leren Mae Bautista, although the latter denied any romantic involvement with the athlete. Despite this, the rumored sweethearts were spotted together at a shopping mall, then at a park in Laguna. They have yet to address the allegations as of this writing. /ra
