‘Not from our end,’ says concert promoter on decision to drop Kristel Fulgar as host of Seo In-guk fan meet
The concert promoter for the recent Seo In-guk fan meet last Aug. 12 came to the defense of Kristel Fulgar following the decision of their South Korean counterpart, particularly a certain “Korean technical director,” to replace her with Karen Bordador as host.
On Facebook, the Angeles City-based Epic Events thanked Fulgar for maintaining her professionalism despite her thwarted hosting stint.
“We would like to thank Kristel Fulgar for her professionalism and being a class act all throughout! She was one of the earliest to arrive and was already at the rehearsals at 7AM and gave positive energy to everyone,” Epic Events said on Facebook on the same day that Fulgar came out with her vlog explaining why her hosting job was canceled.
Epic Events said it “exhausted all efforts” to include Fulgar in the program, even to the point of proposing a duet with the South Korean actor-singer, but to no avail.
“We exhausted all efforts to have her part of the program; even to just have one song number/duet with [Seo In-guk] for the fans but as mentioned in the vlog,” it said, adding that the decision to no longer have her as host was “not from our end.”

Bordabor claimed she didn’t deserve such negative treatment, saying in her X (Twitter) account that “karma” will do its work for those who “point fingers but naturally (take) no accountability.”
Seo, who started his entertainment career as a singer, also made a name for himself as an actor, having acted in popular K-dramas “Reply 1997,” “Shopping King Louie,” and “High School King of Savvy.” EDV
