Saab Magalona ecstatic as son Pancho gets accepted to regular school
Saab Magalona seemed overjoyed as she announced that Pancho, her eldest son diagnosed with cerebral palsy, has been accepted to a regular school and is set to start his schooling.
Magalona revealed this while showing glimpses of Pancho visiting his new school, through a video on her Instagram page last Sunday, July 9. Pancho was accompanied by Magalona and his dad, musician Jim Bacarro.
“Pancho has been accepted into a regular school! It was recommended by his neurodevelopmental pediatrician that he surround himself with his peers and go to school,'” she said in the caption.
“As a mom with birthing trauma, I was skeptical and I thought of all the excuses for him to just stay home,” she admitted.
Magalona also underscored that although she was initially skeptical about sending Pancho to school, she knows it is for the best not only for her child but for her and Bacarro as well.

It’s been a struggle but I know in my heart this is what’s good for Pancho,” she stated. “This is good for me and Jim, too.”

Fans were also elated over Pancho’s milestone, cheering not only for Pancho but also for his parents via the comments section.
Magalona and Bacarro welcomed Pancho in 2018. Magalona gave birth to the twins at the time—Pancho and Luna—but sadly, only Pancho survived after being in critical condition.
In 2022, Magalona admitted she blamed herself after learning that Pancho would suffer disabilities, but she stressed that her eldest son contributed to her growth and brought out a better version of her.
Aside from Pancho, the couple has another son, 3-year-old Vito. /ra
