Chrissy Teigen welcomes 4th child via surrogacy, months after giving birth to baby No. 3
Chrissy Teigen revealed that she and her husband, American singer-songwriter John Legend, are now parents of four as they welcomed an addition to their family through surrogacy.
Teigen announced the birth of Wren Alexander Stephens, the couple’s fourth baby, who was named after his surrogate mother Alexandra, through the American model’s Instagram page on Thursday, June 29.
Teigen disclosed that after suffering from miscarriage in 2020, she thought for a time that she would no longer be able to carry babies on her own. This prompted her and Legend to reach out to a surrogacy agency in 2021, where they met “the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate” Alexandra.
Early in the surrogacy journey, Teigen decided to try conceiving again on her own through in vitro fertilization (IVF) process. The attempt was successful and gave the couple their third child, baby Esti Maxine, who was born last January.

“As we crept toward the safe zone of my own pregnancy, we were overjoyed to learn that Alexandra had become pregnant with a little boy. Our little boy,” Teigen recalled. “We ate hotpot to celebrate, watched ‘Vanderpump Rules’ with our growing bellies, our families blending into one for the past year.”

Teigen then expressed her gratitude to Alexandra for the “incredible gift” she has given to the couple.
“Our hearts, and our home, are officially full,” Teigen said.
