Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo is excited to share her over two-decade industry experience as she gears up for a new role as a judge and mentor on GMA’s upcoming reality talent competition “Battle of the Judges.”

Speaking with GMA reporter Lhar Santiago, the “One More Chance” star revealed developments in the show’s preparations for its expected airing next month.

“[M]eron na kaming list of contestants na napili, kasi kanya-kanyang team ‘yan, ‘di ba? So, ‘yung team Bea almost ready to go na,” said Alonzo, who will be making her debut as a regular judge for a reality talent program.

(We already have the list of selected contestants, since we’ll form different teams, right? So, Team Bea is almost ready to go.)

In the way of the actress’ quest for the champion judge title are veteran talk show host Boy Abunda, comedian-host Jose Manalo, and GMA Network Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes, who teased the reality show’s upcoming premiere with a photo next to fellow judge Manalo.

The award-winning actress is all praise for the other “amazing judges,” adding that she’s humbled to join them in the judging panel.

“They’re all smart, and ang dami na rin nilang naachieve sa kanilang-kanilang mga karera, so I am humbled to be a part of the panel,” said the actress, who is expected to mentor individuals or groups who have at least been finalists in any talent competition around the world.

(They’re all smart, and they’ve also achieved so much in their respective careers, so I am humbled to be a part of the panel.)

Taking over emcee responsibilities is the actress’ “Start-Up PH” co-star Alden Richards, with whom she was supposed to pair up in a remake of the 2004 Korean film “A Moment to Remember.”

The former long-time Star Magic artist has dropped out from the movie project, which her camp explained was due to the actress’ “full schedule this year.” EDV
