Kathryn Bernardo nominated for Outstanding Asian Star at Seoul International Drama Awards

Kathryn Bernardo will be vying for the Outstanding Asian Star award at the 2023 Seoul International Drama Awards.
Bernardo’s nomination was announced through a press release from the award-giving body on Monday, May 22.
The Outstanding Asian Star award will be given to actors from six countries in Asia, namely Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines. Each country has its set of nominees, hence the actors will only compete against fellow nominees from the same country.
Some of the celebrities vying for the award are Song Hye-kyo, Song Joong-ki, Park Eun-bin, Lee Je-hoon and Yoon-ah in Korea; Lai Ter-Chien, Wanghedi and Shuxin Yu in China; Nichkhun in Thailand; Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Kento Yamazaki in Japan; and Vivian Sung in Taiwan. Other nominees from the Philippines have yet to be announced.
The winner will be determined through voting platform service Idolchamp. Voting will run from June 15 to July 14, as per Seoul International Drama Awards’ website.
The awarding ceremony will be held on Sept. 21.
Last year Belle Mariano bagged the Outstanding Asian Star award, the first Filipino actress to win the award. /ra
